Chess Revamped AI Practice
Chess Revamped includes Elo-style AI levels from 200 to 2500. These levels are designed for practice and entertainment. They are not official chess ratings, but they give players a simple way to increase difficulty over time.
Beginner Levels: 200 to 600
These levels are useful when you are learning the movement rules. The AI may miss captures, allow threats, and make random moves. Use these levels to learn how the king, queen, and pawns behave in this variant.
Casual Levels: 700 to 1000
These levels are better for casual practice. The AI begins to care more about captures and material, but it can still make obvious mistakes.
Intermediate Levels: 1100 to 1500
These levels are a good target after you understand the rules. The AI becomes more tactical and starts punishing simple blunders.
Advanced Levels: 1600 to 2100
These levels are harder because the AI looks more carefully at move quality. You should start thinking about escape squares, open lines, and pawn pressure.
Top Practice Levels: 2200 to 2500
These are the strongest built-in practice levels. They are intended to make the game more challenging, especially when you are comfortable with the changed rules.
How to Improve
- Start at a level where you can win consistently.
- Move up by 100 Elo-style points after several wins.
- Pay attention to pawn structure because pawns can capture forward.
- Do not overvalue the queen. In this variant, rooks are often stronger.
- Try to trap the enemy king instead of only chasing it.
